About this scheme
The Business Asset Grant is provided by IDA Ireland to help client companies replace old equipment with new, or acquire new technology upgrades, in order to increase their capacity and capability to deliver to new and existing markets. It is open to companies engaged in both services and manufacturing activities. Applications are assessed using IDA's Key Performance Indicator framework, which asks companies to articulate the investment's potential across five areas: Company Vision & Strategy, Customer Need, Capacity to Deliver Externally, Capacity to Deliver Internally, and Investment Specific Performance Measures and Targets.
Maximum grant aid is €250,000, provided under De Minimis Aid rules. Conditions include: the capital investment must be made in full before grant payment; the employment base must be maintained at the current level for at least 18 months; and the company must present an Investment Output Report on performance within 18 months of drawdown. Expected outcomes are increased capability and capacity to deliver to customers, sustained jobs, and potential for further innovation at the Irish site.
