About this scheme
The Building Fabric Grant for Business helps organisations reduce heat loss through their building's exterior, walls and roof, which directly affects fuel costs, comfort, and carbon footprint. Improving fabric is also important when replacing a boiler with a heat pump, since heat pumps run more efficiently in well-insulated buildings. Grants of up to €120,000 are available, covering up to 30% of costs, with the exact value depending on the existing fabric type, the overall area of fabric works, and the chosen upgrade; only roof and wall works are covered. The application process is designed to be fast and simple: applicants register on the SEAI Application Portal, select 'Business Energy Upgrades', and complete the steps online. An automated Letter of Offer is issued within minutes of submission, after which works can begin immediately.
