About this scheme
The Technical Assistance Grant for Business helps organisations access expert advice on decarbonising their building by funding a consultant engineer's design package. Applicants select one option under each of three areas - Renewable Heat, Energy Efficiency, and Building Management System (BMS) Controls - and their consultant produces a design package covering these technologies, including high-level drawings, system sizing, potential sequencing, and costs, plus an accompanying report giving a holistic overview of other technologies that may suit the business. The grant covers up to 50% of the cost of this consultant's report, to a maximum of €25,000. The design package must be signed off by a chartered engineer (Building Services, Mechanical, or Electrical), chartered through Engineers Ireland or CIBSE Ireland, to ensure the robustness of the work. As with other rapid-approval business grants, applicants apply via the SEAI Application Portal and receive an automated Letter of Offer within minutes.
