About this scheme
The Cyber Security Review Grant, part of Údarás na Gaeltachta's Digitalisation Supports, connects eligible SMEs with a qualified cybersecurity expert for an independent review of the company's cyber security status. The expert interviews key personnel, investigates current practices, and reviews the technical implementation of both on-site and cloud software, delivering a report of actionable recommendations aligned with National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) best practices. The grant covers 80% of eligible costs up to a maximum of €2,400, with no stated sector restriction beyond eligibility being limited to small and medium-sized limited companies incorporated in Ireland. As with other schemes, the grant is paid on receipt of a valid claim supported by documentation confirming that all grant conditions were met and approved expenditure was paid. Businesses that complete this review can go on to apply separately for a Cyber Security Improvement grant of up to €60,000, administered by the National Cyber Security Centre rather than Údarás na Gaeltachta, to implement the recommended IT and security changes.
Who can apply
- Open to all small and medium-sized limited companies (SMEs) incorporated in Ireland
- Eligible costs cover expert review only: interviewing key company personnel, investigating current company practices, and reviewing the technical implementation of on-site and cloud software
- Applicants who complete a Cyber Security Review may separately apply for a Cyber Security Improvement grant of up to €60,000 via the National Cyber Security Centre (a different scheme/provider, not administered by Údarás na Gaeltachta)
