About this scheme
Digital Discovery, part of Údarás na Gaeltachta's Digitalisation Supports, helps businesses engage a digital expert to provide practical, hands-on guidance on a company-driven digital initiative. Eligible activities include analysing existing digital, data or automation systems to identify gaps against business needs, exploring opportunities to optimise existing systems and integrate new solutions, and guidance on implementing new or enhanced digital, data, automation or AI solutions. Implementing digital technologies is framed as a route to greater efficiency, improved customer experience, better decision-making, and an enhanced ability to bring better and more diverse products to market. The support typically covers 3 to 7 days of external consultancy over an 8-12 week period, with the grant covering 80% of eligible costs up to a maximum of €5,000. Eligible costs are capped at €900 per day, inclusive of travel, subsistence and all out-of-pocket expenses. As with other schemes, payment is made on receipt of a valid claim supported by documentation confirming that all grant conditions were met and approved expenditure was paid.
