About this scheme

The Grow Digital Voucher, part of Údarás na Gaeltachta's Digitalisation Supports, helps businesses boost efficiency, reach new customers, and stay competitive by funding the adoption of digital tools, with grants of up to €5,000 available across a maximum of two approved projects. It is open to almost all businesses established and trading in the Gaeltacht for at least 6 months, provided they have prepared a Digital Action Plan within the previous 2 years — typically through the related Digital for Business scheme, whose consultancy costs are paid directly to the consultant by Údarás na Gaeltachta at no charge to the client. Eligible expenditure covers 'off the shelf' software such as e-commerce, CRM, online booking/payments, job tracking, order management/stock control, and industry-specific cloud SaaS tools, plus IT training and/or configuration support to help implement and use the new system. As with other schemes, payment is made on receipt of a valid claim supported by documentation confirming that all grant conditions were met and approved expenditure was paid.

Who can apply

  • All businesses (some limited, unspecified exceptions), established and trading in the Gaeltacht for at least 6 months
  • Must have prepared a Digital Action Plan within the last 2 years (typically produced under the Digital for Business scheme)
  • Eligible expenditure: (a) investing in 'off the shelf' software (e.g. e-commerce, CRM, online booking/payments, job tracking, order management/stock control, industry-specific cloud SaaS); and (b) IT training and/or IT configuration (expert assistance with software set-up/integration, or staff training to use/manage the new system)
  • Training and Configuration costs combined cannot exceed 50% of the overall project cost
  • A maximum of two Grow Digital Voucher projects may be approved per enterprise, up to a cumulative grant value of €5,000; approval of a second voucher depends on demonstrated progress against the Digital Action Plan
