About this scheme

The Trade Fair Participation Scheme, part of Údarás na Gaeltachta's Market Development Supports, provides support towards the cost of first-time participation in a particular trade fair or exhibition, aimed at helping micro-enterprises and SMEs promote their products, gather market data, and explore new markets. Eligibility is limited to business enterprises engaged in manufacturing or eligible internationally traded services. Eligible costs cover stand rental, setting up and running the stand, economy airfares, and accommodation and subsistence for the duration of the trade show. Notably, the scheme applies only to Business-to-Business trade fairs; it explicitly does not support exhibiting at Business-to-Consumer shows. The grant covers 50% of eligible costs, with no maximum grant amount stated on the page, unlike most other schemes in this document. As with other schemes, payment is made on receipt of a valid claim supported by documentation confirming that all grant conditions were met and approved expenditure was paid.
